A decent performance - although you always felt we had a couple more gears to go up, but we never needed to. I was a little disappointed as we should have scored alot more, but in fairness to the boys we have just played 6 games in 14 days! so a little tiredness would be tolerated!

We had most of the ball, controlled the play and never really looked in trouble. Ty Celyn played some nice football and they had us wary of their counter attacks - their striker was a handful.

Charlie put us 1 up with nice individual effort. He burst into the box on the right hand side went past 2 defenders and unleashed a lovely shot into the top left hand corner.

1-0 up at half time and although we had more of the ball and controlled the game, we hadnt had the efforts on goal so we couldnt complain.

We scored some lovely goals Today and the 3 we scored in the second half were lovely.

Danny capitalised on Ty Celyns failure to clear and sneaked in behind and lobbed the keeper to make it 2 nil.

Cian played the ball in to Danny, who flicked it up for Chris - and Chris unleashed a left foot volley into the top left hand corner from the edge of the box for 3 nil.

And Cian finished it off with a 30 yard screamer - catching the keeper off his line.

Our last home game of the season and we ended it with a win and some cracking goals.

Pentwyn Dynamos 2 - 7 St Albans
Donnelly, Foulkes

Always the hardest game of the season - and this season even more so as St Albans have already reached the cup final, won the Tesco cup and they are unbeaten all season.

A nightmare start as the ref cried off 20 mins before kick off, leaving me to pick up the whistle - and the boys with no coaching against the best team in the league!

We put in a good battling performance in the first half - although we went behind early on we got ourselves back into it when Cian latched onto a ball across the box and finished well.

We then went ahead through a bit of good fortune - Charlies flick being deflected up over Elliots head and into the net.

We held our own for quite a while but just before half time St Albans levelled it.

2-2 at half time and I told the boys they must keep closing down, contesting the high balls, concentrating and keep it tight.

We did none of that at all! St Albans scored straight from the restart and we gave up completley - they scored every 5 mins from then on and it finished 2-7.
