Splott Park

Llanedeyrn Bluebirds 0 - 4 Pentwyn Dynamos
                                            Foulkes, Dunsford (2), Viney

An excellent first half display - we ran it from start to finish. We started well, playing our passing game - everyone was on form and it was evident in the way we were moving the ball around.

We went 1 nil up through Charlie - chasing a lost cause as the ball bounced towards the keeper - he got there first and nodded ito the corner. We continued to press them and could have scored so many more goals in this game - Danny went through and only a last ditch tacckle deflected the ball wide, Chris hit the post with a rasping shot and Kieran went close also.

Charlie hit the bar with one of the best solo efforts I have seen - He won the ball just inside their half and went on a weaving run - through 4 players and unleashed a superb shot only to see it cannon off the bar. So unlucky as it was a magnificent effort.

It was soon 2 nil as Ellis - who was superb all match - rose well and headed in Chris's corner.

Lightening struck twice as he did it again 5 mins later - almost the same goal. Chris delivered another spot on corner, Ellis lost his man and headed in to make it 3 nil.

The second half was closer as Llanedeyrn upped their game and came at us using their pacy striker, Ryan.

They only created one clear cut chance though as Ryan went through one on one with Brad but hit his shot wide.

We should have added more goals in the second half - Danny went through but hit his shot wide, Ellis could have had a hatrick but headed over and Cian sent over a lovely cross for Danny but his header was good but straight at the keeper.

We lost Kieran to a nasty injury - so unfair as he was having a great game - he hobbled off with an extremley swollen ankle. After a visit to A&E he was informed it was torn ligaments and will unfortunately be out for a month - we wish him well and look forward to seeing him back in the fold once he has recovered.

Chris finished off hte scoring with a wonderful goal - he hit a volley with the outside of his right foot into the top corner from the edge the box - a deserved goal as he had a great game.
